Peter Krämer
Biography
Peter Krämer is a Senior Research Fellow in Cinema & TV at De Montfort University in Leicester. He also is an Honorary Fellow in the School of Media, Language and Communication Studies at the University of East Anglia and a regular guest lecturer at several other universities in the UK, Germany and the Czech Republic. He is the author or editor of twelve academic books. Growing up in the 1960s and 1970s about 60 miles from the old Cold War border between West and East Germany, already as a child he became obsessed with the prospect of nuclear war. He deals with stories about this and other threats to the future of humanity in much of his academic work, most notably in his 2014 BFI Film Classic on Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
