Dr Jenny Walden is an Associate Dean in Education at the University of Portsmouth and co-secretary for the National Association for Fine Art Education. She has a long-term teaching interest in and has published on Art History and Visual Culture and issues of representation. Of particular relevance here is her contribution to and editing of a book collection of essays under the theme of 'Art and Destruction' Cambridge Scholars Press 2013. This collection explores various ways in which, we might say, 'contrary to its 'creative' force' Art has been associated with 'destructive forces'.
