Dr Mick Broderick has very kindly shared some of his work for the upcoming Trinity events. Mick is a world authority on nuclear culture, publishing numerous books and articles on the topic, including Hibakusha Cinema (1996), Nuclear Movies (1988) and Reconstructing Strangelove (2017). He has also made films, curated exhibitions and developed artwork on the atomic bombings and their aftermath. Mick is unable to join us in person for the events and it's a great pleasure to showcase, here, two of Mick's films: a fascinating introduction to Dr Strangelove and video revisiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial (or "Genbaku Dome"). Both evidence his broad knowledge of nuclear culture, his skill as a researcher, speaker and educator and commitment to enriching our understanding of the past and its meaning for today.
